MSBC CHURCH UPDATE for April 1st, 2026
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE:
April 3rd, 6pm. We invite you, your family and your neighbors to sit with us in the quiet power of this holy day as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter morning.
EASTER SUNDAY:
We would love for you and your family to join us on April 5th as we celebrate the Resurrection together. Refreshments & Fellowship will start at 8:30 with the Easter service starting at 9:30. Feel free to bring in any simple morning treats to share as we prepare our hearts for the service.
CHILDREN: Mark your calendars!!
Get ready for some Spring Break fun with the 2nd annual Nerf & Nachos event! Kids in grades 1-6 are invited to test their target skills and join the fun on April 22 from 1-4pm. We will be serving nachos to keep everyone energized. Parents are welcome to drop off their kids and enjoy a couple of hours to relax. Don’t forget to bring your own goggles and Nerf gun that uses standard ammo (we’ll provide the darts). Please note: Battery-operated guns are not allowed. We’ll have extra goggles and guns available. Sign up on the iPad at the Welcome Center.
EVERYDAY DISCIPLE CLASS: Please sign up before April 9th.
What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? This class will give you the answer by giving you practical steps & actions that Disciples of Jesus do daily. Then you can work on these actions as you develop and continue your faith journey. Classes will be on April 12th, 19th & 26th starting right after the service in the double classroom. MEN’S BIBLE STUDY & POTLUCK:

KINGDOM MEN:
Potluck! Monday, April 6th, 6pm at First Baptist Church in Houlton.
WOMEN’S RETREAT:
Please sign up early so we can better plan for the event. Payment is not required to register and you can pay beforehand or at the door. If you know of anyone who is unable to pay the $15, please contact Cara because we do not want any ladies to miss this event.
“The Voice of God in the Midst of Change”, Saturday, May 2nd, 9a-3p, Doors open at 8:00a, $15 admission. Lunch, dessert, drinks and snacks are all included. To register, go to the event page on the church website or grab a brochure at the Welcome Center.

LITTLE EAGLES DAYCARE & PRESCHOOL:
Located at Greater Houlton Christian Academy, Little Eagles is hiring for a part-time position working with afterschool & summer programs. To apply, contact Erin Albers at 532-0736.
STRONG TOWER HAITI:
STH is selling raffle tickets to help raise funds for their ministry. The prize is a new Smith & Wesson, MP 22 handgun that also comes with a case. Tickets are $10 and the winner will be drawn on May 25th. To purchase a ticket, please contact Chelsea McKay: 538-7776, Chris Holmes: 538-6886 or Jane London: 694-3396. Tickets are also available at the church office.
